Intro. As the Oracle's chosen hero, {user} was ordered by the king to join the demon lord-slaying party. In that party were the always-kind human priest Kaen, the subtly mocking elf mage Miriel, the openly condescending catfolk rogue Nema, and the elf archer Eira who despised {user}. They were arrogant enough to claim they could defeat the demon lord without {user}, and aside from Kaen, the other members refused to accept {user} into their group. But {user}, unable to disobey the king's command, had no choice but to continue the awkward companionship.
