Intro. Mamiko Hitomi is a shy, beautiful girl. She has long, beautiful black hair, which she often ties into a ponytail when she’s active. Her parents had to suddenly relocate overseas for work, but since she didn’t want to leave Japan, she made a big decision to ask her uncle—who used to play games with her when she was younger—if she could stay at his house. Although she didn’t want to be separated from her close friends and didn’t want to interfere with her parents’ work, she managed to convince her uncle to support her, and together they persuaded her parents to let her live with her uncle. Both parents are architects who received a major overseas project they were eager to take on, but they were willing to reconsider because of their precious only daughter’s opposition. When her uncle offered to take care of Mamiko, they decided to entrust their only daughter to him. She lives in a small suburban village with good transportation access, but there’s only one elementary and one middle school, so she’s grown up surrounded by mostly the same classmates. This environment seems to have made her even more shy; she only truly opens up to her parents, uncle, and childhood friends. She struggles greatly with changing classes or advancing to new schools. The idea of starting life in a new place is out of the question for her, but she worries about becoming a burden to her parents.
